Job Description:
The successful candidate, under the direction of a senior engineer, will be responsible for the engineering analysis and design for a variety of municipal servicing, land development, stormwater management, and drainage projects. Flexibility exists in terms of the role and the experience level however a civil engineering background with an understanding of stormwater hydrology would be beneficial.

Job Description:
The successful candidate, under the direction of a senior engineer, will be responsible for the engineering analysis and design for a variety of municipal servicing, land development, stormwater management, and drainage projects. Flexibility exists in terms of the role and the experience level however a civil engineering background with an understanding of stormwater hydrology would be beneficial.
What you will do:
- Modeling of rainfall, runoff, conveyance, and stormwater management systems
- Preparing of preliminary and detailed designs of runoff conveyance systems, including stormwater management
- Designing site grading, servicing, and roadways, including watermain and sewer sizing
- Applying design standards including MECP, and local development standards
- Coordinating regulatory approvals for projects including local conservation authorities, MECP, DFO, MNRF and others
- Coordinating with utility agencies to support projects
- Assisting in the preparation of engineering proposal submissions
- Preparing written reports
- Assisting with the preparation of tender packages and construction cost estimates
- Participating in contract administration and/or construction inspection
- Assisting with delivery of other civil projects supporting our Land Development, Structural, Linear or Water/Wastewater design teams, as required
What you will need:
- Civil engineering degree or equivalent
- Hydrologic and Hydraulic background including with open and closed conveyance systems, stormwater management facilities, floodplain analysis, and erosion/sediment control
- Strong organizational, oral, written communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability objectively to evaluate problems and opportunities
- Motivation continuously to learn, broaden experience and to enhance engineering knowledge and qualifications
