Reporting to the Vice-President, the incumbent Candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing land development projects from preliminary design stage through to completion. The Project Manager, Engineering and Construction, will hold a variety of responsibilities related to this process, including but not limited to the following:

• Tracking and maintenance of project deliverables in all aspects of the Engineering process
• Creation and updating of budgets related to engineering works for all construction works, as directed/approved by the VP
• Managing Engineering and Planning Consultants to obtain approvals in a timely manner
• Assisting with the review and amendment of development agreements with the municipality (as necessary)
• Advancing projects from Draft/Site Plan Approval including management of all engineering drawings as required by the municipality to obtain approval
• Assisting with the development and tendering of construction projects, from grading/servicing to curb and gutter
• Acting as field liaison between outside consultants, builders, and the VP with regards to required installation of municipal services
• Coordinating with the Land Technician with regards to maintenance of developing lands; backcharging buildings/clients for the repair of damaged works prior to assumption; and ensuring that all Lot Grading certificates are received and that all grading is carried out in general conformity with lot grading and plot plans
• Preparing and maintaining lifecycle infrastructure maintenance and replacements in the Community as required

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution (4 year Bachelor’s Degree or 3 year Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Civil Engineering with a specific focus on residential and/or commercial Land Development
• General knowledge of related topics such as economics, accounting, surveying and land use planning
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
• Ability to work independently
