YMCA of Southwestern Ontario was founded in 1856 and has over 200 locations from Goderich to Point Pelee, and Windsor to Woodstock. We are one of the largest not-for-profit providers of licensed child care in Canada and have over 100 school age programs across our regions. We also offer settlement services to newcomers, employment programs, mental health support, and youth programs. YMCA of Southwestern Ontario operates two overnight camps, one in Point Pelee National Park, and one on Beausoleil Island in Muskoka. We also have 15 Health & Fitness branches across Southwestern Ontario.

Position: Regional Manager, Children's Educational Services 2 Positions


Location: Multi Sites across Southwestern Ontario


Start Date: Immediately


Compensation: $78,000 - $86,000 depending on experience

In this role, you will:
• Provide overall leadership to multiple licensed child care and school-age locations to support sites in hiring and recruitment, program design, curriculum implementation and evaluation.
• Ensure the program policies and procedures, as well as the day-to-day operation, are in accordance with the regulations of the
• Program and The Ministry of Education, Child Care Early Years Act. (2014), YMCA of Southwestern Ontario, Public Health and Fire Regulations for licensed childcare centres
• Provide direct coaching and supervision to the Directors in their region
• Monitor occupancy targets and provide support to Directors to increase/maintain occupancy levels.
• Model and support performance management practices
• Ensure high-level quality in all programs.
• Support staff and families in conflict resolution with positive outcomes
• Be accountable for the development and implementation of budgets and accurate forecasting for sites in their region
• Achieve operational goals through financial management of child care and school-age budgets
• Develop appropriate strategic partnerships within the community and actively participate in external and internal committees
• Demonstrate YMCA Core Values- Respect, Responsibility, Honesty, and Caring- in all daily interactions.
• Work collaboratively with the Regional Managers in Children’s Educational Services

Education & Skills Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in a related field of study combined with a minimum of 5 years of related supervisory experience.
• Experience working as a leader in a multi-site organization is an asset
• Proficient in Office 365
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification or include the date of training scheduled within the next three months. Training cost and time is at the expense of the applicant and not reimbursed.
• Applicants are required to be a minimum of 18 years of age to acquire a current Vulnerable Criminal Reference Check (less than 6 months old)
• Legally entitled to work in Canada
