EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANT - TRANSCRIBER
June 26, 2019
CLASSIFICATION: Educational Assistant (10 month position)
LOCATION: CC Carrothers
RATE OF PAY: $21.29 - $25.72 per hour
HOURS OF WORK: Full-time: 7 hours per day
START DATE: September 3, 2019
JOB SUMMARY: Through a team approach with Learning Support Services, the Educational Assistant will assist the student(s) and their teacher(s) with the academic program in a manner that facilitates the emotional, social, and academic growth of the student(s) according to their individual and collective needs. In addition to the specific areas mentioned in the postings, the Educational Assistant is assigned to the school location and therefore may be assigned duties outside the posting as deemed necessary by the Principal.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
A two-year Community College Diploma or acceptable equivalent with courses relating to the specific assignment (i.e. Developmental Services Worker, Registered Nurse, Early Childhood Educator, etc.).
**MUST HAVE INTRODUCTION TO BRAILLE AND CONTRACTED BRAILLE AND EXPERIENCE TRANSCRIBING IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.**
