Key Responsibilities:
  • Update and review the product security roadmap.
  • Conduct comprehensive security testing of products and service platforms on a regular basis.
  • Inform/coach employees on product and software security issues.
  • Develop security-sensitive code and participate in regular code reviews.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Expert in application security with a strong software background.
  • Experience as a developer working with various platforms, including mobile, web, and desktop.
  • Strong understanding of secure software architecture, cryptographic applications, and secure development processes.
  • Experience conducting product security testing and security-focused code reviews.
  • Comfortable and familiar with working in an Agile software development environment, including emergent architecture, changing requirements, and changing priorities (SCRUM, Agile, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with security integration in various software development process.
  • Virtual private networks, firewalls, TCP/IP protocol, token systems, authentication systems.
  • Understanding of Android, iOS, Mac OS X, Windows.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Objective C, Ruby.
  • Knowledge of Python, C++, Javascript is an asset.
  • Experience in cryptography is an asset.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, or equivalent post-secondary education.
  • Minimum 8+ years of hands on experience in programming, participating in the design and construction phases of a development projects involving, object-oriented (OO) component-based applications.
  • Exceptional knowledge in design, coding, testing and implementation of database-centric applications and GUI components.
  • Skilled in SQL language and data modelling.
  • Experience and understanding of security concepts, including PCI (Payment Card Industry) regulations considered an asset.
  • You are able to work both independently and within a team.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You are hardworking, self-motivated, and passionate about learning and working with the latest technologies.
  • You love having to think outside the box to find solutions to problems.
  • You’re a team player who adapts quickly to ever-changing environments.
