Mechanical Designer - Railway
We design cool machines, check out our website. Arva Industries located in St. Thomas, Ontario is offering an excellent opportunity for a professional who has experience with railway. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for railway safety analysis including but not limited to System Safety Plans. The rest of the role will be producing high quality Engineering drawings, documents, and bills of material for rail vehicles. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Engineering.

- SSP Safety Analysis on large Rail Equipment projects
- Interface with customer on safety related items
- Produce Engineering drawings
- Detail design of non-complex components
- Issuing Engineering Change Notices to shop floor
- Participate in design reviews
To be qualified, the ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in safety analysis
- Experience in railway
- Experience detailing drawings
- Good at working under urgent deadlines
