Job Description

Pathways Employment Help Centre and Placement Centre (PEHC) Seeks to Unleash People's Potential through Employment, Skills Training and Advocacy. A recognized leader in social enterprise and innovative workforce development, PEHC provides employability assessments, job search strategies, and employment placement services. Our micro-credential skill development programs inspire and equip adult learners to reenter the workforce. PEHC also operates Clean Works London, London Community Woodshop and the Advocacy Centre. Pathways consistently has provided leadership in the community in envisioning new ways of delivering excellence in employment services. Each year 2500-3000 people seek pre-employment assistance and are connected to a vast network of 600 employers. 

Pathways is currently seeking a Director of Employment Services. If you are an agile leader seeking to impact your community and the lives of people in the workforce, this may be your next step. The Director will coach a dedicated team of professionals and guide the organization's strategic direction as a member of the leadership team while engaging other community leaders. 

As the Director for Employment Services, you will lead the Life Stabilization team, providing direction and oversight while ensuring excellent delivery of Pathways' Vision, Mission and Values. You will collaborate with other leaders within the organization and community while maintaining positive relationships with funders. You will be an agent for change in the transformation of employment services in the workforce development field. Your commitment to efficient processes will lead to effective monitoring of outcomes, maximizing opportunities, and creating new strategies to increase client impact.

As a demonstrated, progressive leader, you possess a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Human Services, or Business Administration. You have a minimum of 6-8 years of employment sector experience. You have experience in leading teams of professionals, providing them with coaching and training. You have a recognized ability to network and create new relationships and opportunities in the sector and community. As a seasoned career development professional, you are comfortable dealing with challenging clients. You possess a working knowledge of Employment Ontario and Ontario Works processes and software programs.
