Reporting to the Controller, responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring of AP inbox and responding to vendor inquiries
  • Coding and posting invoices within accounting system, ensuring allocation to the proper contract, job and account
  • Assist Controller in development of new, efficient costing processes within new accounting module
  • Treasury management, reporting on cash balances, monitoring outstanding cheques
  • HST and government remittances
  • Monitor utility bill payments and post to the system
  • Assist with yearend review
  • Assist with preparation of bank reconciliations and entries of automatic payments
  • Other tasks as requested
Qualifications:
  • Postsecondary education in accounting/bookkeeping certificate
  • Excellent computer/analytical skills and competence in excel
  • Experience with Yardi an asset
  • Positive attitude and the ability to embrace change in a fastpaced environment
  • Creativity and a constant drive towards finding more efficient processes
