Security Systems Technician (CSS 201400072)
Campus Security Services
Location: London
Employment Group: Support
Salary: $25.41 per hour
Hours Of Work Per Week: 35
Closing Date: April 23, 2014
Note: This is a full-time position (35 hours per week).
Duties: Reporting to the Manager of Campus Security Services, the incumbent will provide operational support for the various security systems deployed by Campus Security Services, including but not limited to video surveillance, door access control and intrusion alarm systems. Through consultation with the Security Systems Specialist, the incumbent will install video surveillance cameras and intrusion alarm systems and connect low voltage electronic devices as they relate to various security systems to ensure device operation and connectivity to the relevant management system. The incumbent will recommend hardware and design of new and replacement security system devices to meet project objectives and the security needs of the College. The incumbent will work collaboratively with project stakeholders, end users, project coordinators, Security Systems Specialist and Security Systems Support Technician to complete assigned tasks and project work.

Qualifications:
- Post-secondary 1 year certificate or equivalent
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience with installing and configuring ICT Protégé Alarm intrusion systems, video surveillance cameras, and other low voltage security-specific devices within a college/university or similar environment
- Alarm Technician Level 1 and 2 through the Canadian Alarm and Security Association
- Fall and Arrest Protection, Erection, Dismantle, Operation of Personnel Lift and Boom Type Lifts, Slab and Rough Terrain Scissor Lift and Bucket Truck Training preferred
- ICT Protégé certification
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
