Turn-key solutions manufacturer is looking to add an ?Electrical System Design Technologist or Technician (London, Ontario) to their team.

Scope of Work:

• Electrical System Design and Instrumentation
• PLC Programming (Siemens Step 7)
• Manage component selection
• Prepare electrical drawings for equipment & inspections
• Refine procedures
• Capable to wire and build systems
• In shop start-up and testing of systems
• Travel to client facilities to perform installations, troubleshooting and maintenance
• Proficient at procedures, paperwork, specifications, supporting documentation
• Reports to Production Manager

Skills Required:

• Minimum 5 years of electrical design, instrumentation and controls experience in the manufacturing industry
• Post-secondary education in Electrical Technologist or equivalent experience
• Proficient in Solidworks, Autocad Electrical
• Knowledge of Siemens PLC, SCADA, software and components
• Ability to read drawings
• Ability to travel
• Able to do manual tasks as required (wiring, assembly, start-up)
• Problem solver - Must be able to identify problems and propose solutions
  • Work load / stress levels ebb and flow depending upon projects
  • Hands on
  • Help with assembly at times
  • Mechanically inclined
