Job Description

On behalf of our client, a global supplier of high precision engine components such as severe-duty and high performance valve train, fuel injection components for heavy equipment within the agricultural, construction, marine, and transportation industries; we are supporting their recruit for a Supplier Quality Engineer.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure supplier performance reporting is completed on a regular basis
  • Develop long-term supplier relationships to generate and implement cost reduction improvements
  • Communicate and improve key supply chain KPI’s
  • Root cause analysis activities with suppliers and customers as necessary to eliminate non-conformance
  • Drive compliance by conducting supplier audits (IATF 16949/ ISO 9001) and resolve supplier issues in a timely manner
  • Define PPAP requirements for suppliers and evaluate and qualify new supplier materials following a defined new product development process
  • Interface with Engineering, Production and purchasing groups to resolve supplier process and materials concerns.
  • “Zero Defect” mentality within the supply base
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and team work skills

Job Requirements:

  • P.Eng. Certified Quality Engineer or equivalent work experience
  • Auditor training (ISO / TS)
  • AIAG Core Tools Training
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Background in metallurgy - castings and forgings is an asset
  • Flexible and able to travel internationally
