Supervisor - Site/Clinic Operations

This is a new role within the organization supporting our Old East Village and Health Outreach clinics. We are looking for:

  • A person with leadership qualities and potential with examples from work or life experience that can be shared in an interview
  • A solution-focused individual who can provide examples of managing through challenging situations or competing priorities
  • Experience using data and metrics to support decisions and influence performance, supported by principles of harm reduction and health equity
  • A proven ability to appreciate the strengths of the people around them, creating space and opportunities for those strengths to shine in support of accomplishing shared goals
  • Creative and flexible, willing to share new ideas and try different approaches

Key Responsibilities

Staff Supervision – In collaboration with an Integrated Health Manager, support an interdisciplinary team of clinicians, regulated professionals, community workers, and support staff to deliver quality care. This will include routine coaching, performance management, and conflict resolution.

Site Operations – Work closely with key staff members to ensure smooth clinical operation and flow, plan for contingencies during disruptions, direct the work of front-line staff to create a welcoming and safe clinical environment, manage scheduling to ensure appropriate staffing levels, contribute to required data collection and reporting needs, and ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety (OHSA), Infection Prevention & Control (IPAC) and other clinical and workplace regulations/best practices.

Staff Support – Act as the first point of contact for staff for operational needs, problem-solving and in-the-moment decisions relating to clinic flow, client support and team leadership. Support staff learning and development, respond to staff safety concerns, and provide direct support to staff and clients when necessary and within scope of practice.

Required Qualifications

  • Postsecondary diploma or degree in a health-related field, or equivalent mix of education and experience
  • 3+ years in a clinical or health setting providing operational and/or supervisory support
  • Understanding of the social determinants of health and health promotion
  • Willingness to work with people of diverse backgrounds with an inclusive and anti-oppressive lens

Preferred Skills

  • Regulated Health Professional designation and practice experience is considered an asset
  • Certification in Occupational Health & Safety and/or Infection Prevention and Control, or willingness to obtain
  • Certification in Human Resources, Leadership/Management, or Program Development & Evaluation
  • French and other language skills are beneficial in working with our client populations

Compensation Package

  • A starting salary range of $70,000 – $79,000
  • 100% employer-paid health and dental benefits after 3 months; enhanced benefits after 2 years of service
  • Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP)
  • Paid sick and personal time, plus vacation time even in your first year
  • Paid professional development time and funds after 12 months of service
  • Monday-Friday working hours with occasional evening and weekend requirements
