Fleetwood Metal Industries has an exciting opportunity in our Otterville Plant!  FMI is looking for a Millwright.

Fleetwood houses over 60 presses that range from 250 to 2,000 tons for blanking, forming and drawing. Our advanced robotic mig and spot welding capabilities ensure the kind of quality that exceeds industry standards.  Our advancement in forming simulation and CATIA design is moving Fleetwood to the forefront of high strength material part production.

 Outline of Duties
 
The Millwright is responsible for to troubleshooting, programing and repairing production related equipment that meet compliance and customer requirements in a safe and efficient manner. More precisely, the incumbent:
 
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, install and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and industrial equipment
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and other specifications to determine installation procedure
  • Work with other associates or contractors on assigned projects
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and keep records
  • Order supplies and spare parts as need for assigned projects
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Follow all health and safety regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  •  Valid 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright license
  • Experience in industrial/manufacturing electrical systems
  • MIG welding experience with robotic welding and metal fabrication an asset
  • Ability to read drawings, blueprints and specifications
  • Mechanical and mathematical aptitude
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to function both independently and with good judgment in a team environment.
  • Able to work rotating shifts
  • Able to lift up to 25lbs, stand and walk on a continuous basis
  • Exposure to noisy environment
