JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • Ensure that current backups are available to other trained employees for all production devices
  • Train Electricians and other employees at various work stations on Controls related systems
  • Perform major programming changes
  • Provide troubleshooting support for the Electrical Team when requested
  • Ensure production quality systems are logically functioning
  • Responsible for DVT Vision support
  • Analyze and correct programs to improve machine OEE
  • Involved in the review and approval of new equipment
  • Must be flexible to work rotating shifts, and on call for a weekend every 4 weeks.
  • Other duties as assigned
 
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Industrial Electrician exposure preferred, with either College Technologist Diploma and/or Technician Diploma with controls background
  • Minimum 3-5 years Controls related experience in an automotive environment troubleshooting methods, PLC programming (Siemens S7 & Beckoff), C based programming languages, Montion Control (Siemens), Vision Systems (Cognex, DVT, Siemens, VMT, 4D), Computer Systems (Win2K, WinXP), Communication Networks (Enet, MPI/DP, Serial, ASi, DeviceNet), Software archiving systems (Version Works), Developing work procedures, Maintenance best practices, Safety devices including circuits and controls, CSA-Z432, CSA-Z142, CSA-Z460, CSA-Z434, Ontario Electrical Safety Code
