Agilus is recruiting for several Building Safety Ambassadors in the immediate future in London, Ontario.
The Building Safety Ambassador will act as our client's "boots on the ground" to ensure a safe environment and compliance with COVID-19 safety protocols. They will be assigned to one or more buildings that may be aligned with multiple departments.

This is a contract position that will run 6-8 weeks at the minimum.
Responsibilities:
  • They will also assist any instructor who needs help with students not adhering to the required safety guidelines (e.g. wearing of masks) and will often be the first point of contact for questions related to the "new normal"
  • They will be able to distribute masks to students and visitors who have come unprepared.
  • Will need to have a cellphone available/on hand for contact in urgent situations
  • A lot of walking required
  • Building Safety Ambassadors will observe individuals coming into buildings, heading to classes and labs, in open spaces or gathering either inside or outside of buildings
  • The Ambassador will provide reminders about physical distancing, the use of masks, and good hygiene practices

Requirements:
  • Personable, professional and courteous in working relationships with colleagues, students and the public
  • Assertive and tactful in your approach to difficult conversations, with the ability to listen intently and display genuine empathy
  • Shifts will be 4-hour blocks, flexibility within the 8am to 8pm range highly desirable
  • Professional and enthusiastic, with the ability and desire to promote and be an ambassador for the health & safety of our community
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude with genuine client/customer service orientation
  • Ability to handle difficult issues or situations in an objective manner
  • Strong verbal communication skills
