Job Description
Treasury & Taxation Specialist
StarTech.com is currently looking for Treasury & Taxation Specialist to join our Finance team at our Corporate Office in London, Ontario.
Reporting to the Manager, Treasury & Taxation, the Treasury & Taxation Specialist will be responsible for monthly filing (sales tax, VAT, EC Sales, Intrastat), cash flow forecasting and analysis, Foreign Exchange and hedging analysis (CAD, USD, MXN, GBP, EUR, JPY, AUD, HKD), preparing quarterly and annual tax provisions for all entities, and assisting with year-end compliance. This role has room for growth and is a great learning opportunity for someone who has a passion for research, analysis, and who wants to grow within the Taxation and Treasury team. The ideal candidate brings passion, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn.
If You Enjoy
- Using your inquisitive nature to learn, analyze, and present findings
- All things tax related; research, legal implications, costing and operational models
- Clearly presenting ideas and concepts with internal and external customers
- Post-Secondary education in Business or Finance
- 1-2 years’ experience in a public accounting environment (preference to Big 4)
- An ability to adhere to and enforce deadlines
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with corporate direct and indirect taxes
- Experience with cash flow forecasting/analysis and multiple currencies
