CASUAL ESL INSTRUCTORS St. Patrick Adult & Continuing Education (1230 King Street, London, ON N5W 2Y2)
Reporting to the Principal, the casual ESL Instructor delivers a curriculum that aligns with the Canadian Language Benchmarks for reading, writing, listening and speaking. This position could include any level of ESL from ESL Literacy, CLB 1-7 and may include the creation of lessons for multi-level classes.
At this time, we are seeking candidates for our evening classes, both in-person and online. However, we have classes that run all day, with future opportunities to move where possible
Minimum of a three-year college or university degree, additional training/experience in teaching adults, OCELT accredited, and language proficiency.
PBLA training and experience preferred
CLB Bootcamp certificate preferred
Experience in preparing lessons for Adult ESL students preferred
Excellent teamwork skills
Proficient computer and technology skills to aid in instruction including D2L in the virtual learning environment and Microsoft Office software
Excellent organization, problem-solving and communication skills
Start Date: September 2022 Salary: $28.38/hour + 4% vacation
