Our client, a large and global producer of cost-efficient trucks is currently seeking a Purchasing Manager & Production Control . Things You Should Know
- Supervise, evaluate and coach the team. Assist with problem solving when required
- Perform problem analysis when issues such as shortages, systems and schedule issues occur and come up with countermeasures to avoid recurrence
- Initiate and lead projects
- Kaizen to improve the department
- Perform problem analysis when issues have occurred
- Perform cost analysis and look for opportunities for cost reduction
Can You Check These Boxes?
- Experience working in a purchasing role in an automotive manufacturing facility
- Ability to work accurately and pay close attention to detail
- Knowledge of Toyota Production System (TPS) is an asset
- Experience with implementation and use of SAP
- Degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary educational institute in a related field is required
- Purchasing certificate (preferred)
- Purchasing Management Association of Canada Accreditation
Salary
$60-65,000/per year depending on experience
