Buckland Customs Brokers Ltd. is currently searching for an Applications Developer to join our team in St. Thomas, Ontario.  Reporting to the Manager, Network & Information Systems, this role participates in various development assignments while working in a team environment on various enterprise level internal business applications in a C#, .NET environment for Windows.  In this role you can expect to fill your day:

• Developing solutionswith a focus on C#, .NET, XML and Web service technologies and assisting with setting development standard, languages, design and procedures
• Building applications to specification and working closely with all internal groups, advising of the best approach for application enhancements, upgrades, and integration
• Assisting in training plans and providing support to users on application changes and upgrades
• Creating unit and regression tests and performing integration and stress testing

• Solid operational experience as a member of a development team working on software development projects
• Post-secondary education, ideally from a three year program in computer programming
• Solid knowledge of enterprise level development, source control procedures and processes
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) demonstrated through your ability to adapt your communication style to the  needs of the person listening. Not everyone is an expert in programming. Can you help them understand your area of expertise if it isn't theirs?
• Solid working knowledge of .NET Framework, C#, ASP .NET and application experience with MS Visual Studio .NET, MS SQL Server and/or Oracle with very strong skills in RDBMS
• Knowledge of Visual Basic, VBA, MS Access, HTML, DHTML, XML, ASP, VBScript, ASP.NET, VB.NET and Crystal Reports
• Experience in implementing or incorporating Electronic Document Management system
