Job Description
Rural Response for Healthy Children (RRHC) is a community-based, not-for-profit organization and registered charity that provides innovative and effective programs and services with the purpose of supporting and fostering strong and healthy families in and around Huron County. We are actively seeking the right person to become our new Executive Director.
Scope of Position
Reporting to and working with the RRHC Board of Directors (the Board), the Executive Director will be responsible for executing our strategic plan with an emphasis on long-term sustainability and promoting awareness of the organization within the greater community. The key operational role will be to provide leadership in the area of effective program delivery utilizing our resources in an efficient manner. Applicants should have a history of leadership in the non-profit sector.
While the Head Office is located in Clinton, Ontario, there is some flexibility in location. However, you will be expected to be available to the staff during normal hours of operation. Some travel away from the head office will be required.

Position Details
This is a 3 – 4 day a week position, and salary is commensurate with experience. The contract is for 1 year, but with opportunity to extend/renew if goals are met.

Position Summary
The Executive Director will:
- Sustain and build new community relations and partnerships through a variety of networking and business development opportunities
- Increase fund development by securing donations and grants
- Lead, manage and coach a small team of full and part time staff
- Work closely with the Board of Directors to build a well- functioning governance structure and develop a new strategic plan
- Develop and implement communications and marketing strategies to bring awareness and support to the organization
Requirements
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in management, including a senior management role in the non-profit sector
- Strong acumen for team building
- Experience in writing grant proposals
- Excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills
- Courageous leadership and decision making skills
- Experience in program budgeting, monitoring, outcome documentation and compliance requirements
- Ability to attend evening Board meetings and travel as needed
