Job Description
Our client a supplier or Trim, doors and custom closets are currently looking to hire a Yard Supervisor. You will provide leadership, plan, organize, and direct activities relating to the Yard operations.
If you have experience in building supply company or small production and are comfortable leading a team of 5-10 employees, this position might be for you.

- $28.30 at 42.5 hrs. per week (approx. $62,500/yr)
- Straight days, no weekends or nights.

What you’ll be doing:
- Manage stock to streamline location for better process, use labelling communication to direct staff appropriately.
- Responsible for all aspects of yard production. Manage maintenance of equipment and ensure cost efficient repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure that a safe and positive work environment and ensure team is informed on all changes.
- Maintain a high level of Health and Safety to prevent incidents, manage risk, perform inspections and correct unsafe behaviors.
- Develop departmental processes to continuously improve operations and standard operating procedures. Maintain current records as changes occur.
- Conduct daily machine inspections are completed and review safe practices.
- Schedule manpower to manage workflow.
- Collaborating with HR, conduct new hire interviews and selection.
- Review and approve employee timesheets and time-off requests.
- Conducts employee performance reviews, probationary reviews, employee coaching and feedback.
What we are looking for:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid and clean Driver’s License, Forklift License and First Aid Certification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a construction warehouse, or lumber yard.
- Minimum 1 year of leadership experience, preferably in a construction warehouse, lumber yard, or equivalent manufacturing operation.
- Additional credentials in leadership an asset.
- Certified, or willing to certify in First Aid/CPR.
