Cheshire Homes of London has been providing quality in-home Personal Attendant Services to individuals with disabilities and higher risk seniors since 1979.  That is thirty-seven years so you could say we are kind of experts by now.  Being provincially funded and not-for-profit, we don’t spend a ton of money on marketing and advertising; we would rather utilize those precious dollars to enhance the level of care we provide our consumers.  We are also pretty modest and don’t brag about how highly skilled and knowledgeable our employees are.  We are proud of Cheshire and it shows every day in what we do.  Curious?  Then read on my friend.

Please apply if you possess all of the following:   

1. Paperwork confirming enrollment in a BScN program and entering year THREE or FOUR 
2. You have flexible availability and wish to commit to career development this summer (May 1- Aug 31)
3. A valid Canadian Driver’s License and have regular access to a reliable vehicle
4. A valid automobile insurance with liability coverage
5. You have (or able to acquire) a current and negative Police Vulnerable Sector Check
6. You are available to work a variety of shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends and understand the nature of our work and the importance of good attendance    
7. You can rotate on Pager and On-call pager responsibilities as a normal part of your rotation  
8. You possess knowledge/ability of proper body mechanics and safe lifting/ transferring techniques

 
We offer an extremely competitive starting pay rate of $19.56/hr and compensation for mileage and travel time.
