Abilities Case Administrator (5 positions): Regular Full-Time
Occupational Health and Safety Services
 
Reporting to, and working under the direction of the Coordinator of Occupational Health Services, the Abilities Case Administrator develops implements and administers the Ability Management Program of the Occupational Health and Safety Department.  This role is to manage and monitor employee illness and injuries. 
 
Rate of Pay:                   $28.374/hour to $35.468/hour
Hours of Work:             37.5 hours per week and (Rotating on call)
 
QUALIFICATIONS:  
 
  • Successful completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in an Allied Health related, Human Resources, Health or Social Science field
  • 2 years previous related experience
  • Diploma or Certification in Rehabilitation Case Management (RRP or CCRC) preferred
  • Certification of employee benefits program (CEBs) an asset
  • Proficient in MS Office software (Word & Excel)
  • Proficiency in computer programs; for example/ Parklane for injury management, return to work plan
  • Advanced experience working in a unionized environment-preferably in health care
  • Advanced experience with early and safe return to work program; Functional versus Medical models for Occupational and non-Occupational
  • Advanced understanding of developing individual plans, documentation, and maintain records for WSIB
  • Experience in claims and case management of short and long term disability
  • Advanced experience in adjudication of documentation and Return to work cases
  • Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule
  • Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
