Job Description

Position Summary:
The Heavy Equipment Driver is responsible for all divisions of City Centre Storage Group by assuming responsibilityfor the moving of ocean containers.. The job description is to be used as a guideline only and may not include all functions of the job.

Responsibilites & Duties:
Perform pre-trip inspections on equipment ensuring safety and road worthiness.
Prior to container delivery and pickup ensure the proper container number is being loaded or in the case of empty bins that they are clean, swept out and in the condition it was delivered.
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, complying with applicable safety standards including:
     Check for overhead wires, tree branches, building overhangs, eves troughs, etc.
     Stable ground conditions due to weight of vehicle
     Ensure outriggers are positioned on solid surface
Perform inspections before and after delivery to ensure that load is properly fastened down, locking devices in place.
Maintain daily accurate log book as required by the MTO
Deliver product and proper paperwork to customers in order to represent CCSG in a professional manner.
Utilize APQ program before and after each delivery to update records, observing changes made by the office.
Maintain contact with the Sales Department regarding any changes in schedule, delivery conditions or customer created issues.
Document and communicate for inventory control purposes any container number delivered or returned to the yard.
Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations or damages to vehicles or property to the Fleet Supervisor.

Health & Safety
Work in compliance with OHSA regulations and CCSG safety policies.
Communicate any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuries in a timely manner to the Fleet Supervisor in order to facilitate prompt correction or reporting.
Use or wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing that CCSG requires.
Safely utilize equipment
Report any violations of OHSA, defective equipment or workplace hazard to supervisor.
Attend training sessions as requested.

Education:
High School Diploma  or comparable work experience
AZ License
Mobile Crane Certification (optional, will train)

Experience:

Good Driver's abstract
Defensive Driving Course ( asset but not required)
Strong mechanical apititude with ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance.
Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, regulations, policies and procedures.
Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively with little supervision.
High level of personal integrity.
Professional apperance and manners.
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

Working Conditions:
Travel required
Will be required to work both indoors and outdoors.
Overtime/weekend work may be required.
Ability to lift 100lbs.

This job position will pay $18 to $22/hr as well as benefits
