Position Summary:
Long Point Region Conservation Authority (LPRCA) is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to develop, manage and implement the promotion and marketing programs of the Authority. The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the duties noted herein as they relate to the programs of the Authority.  The Marketing Coordinator works alongside all departments and reports directly to the General Manager/Secretary Treasurer.
 
Qualifications:
  • University/College level program in Marketing and Communications
  • At least two years of related experience
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Outlook) 
  • Proficient in the use of Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop)
  • Experience using WordPress Web Content Management Systems
  • Excellent social media and customer service skills
  • Familiar with email marketing services (i.e. MailChimp, Constant Contact)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and work well independently.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, organizational and administrative skills
  • Exceptional problem solving, tact and judgment skills 
  • High level of accuracy in written work and all financial tasks
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License (Class G)
  • Police criminal records check including vulnerable sector and drivers abstract required
 
Responsibilities:
  • Design, produce and distribute all communication materials including brochures, annual reports, posters, flyers, newsletters and other general materials
  • Plan, organize, implement and attend relevant special events (i.e. Annual General Meeting, Watershed Tour, Memorial Forest Dedication, Fishing Derbies, etc.)
  • Develop and coordinate advertising and promotional materials including print, radio and social media content, especially with regard to Conservation Areas and outdoor recreation opportunities offered by LPRCA
  • Write and coordinate media releases and distribute in a timely manner
  • Act as a spokesperson and an internal and external marketing and communications resource for all LPRCA departments
  • Manage LPRCA’s digital presence including the Authority’s website and social media profiles
  • Prepare Communications program budgets and monitor expenses
  • Assist LPRCA partners in promotion of their special events
  • Maintain and build upon database and video of digital images for marketing and promotion
  • Support the flood forecasting & warning team in communicating flood events
  • Any other duties as assigned by the General Manager/Secretary Treasurer

Location/Working Conditions:

  • Tillsonburg Administration Building.
  • 35-hour work week (M-F 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.)
  • Evening/weekend hours may be required for special events or emergencies
