REQUIREMENTS

• Performs assignments in accordance with established safety policies and procedures
• Perform general physical activities in order to load, sort and move product by hand or using material handling equipment
• Performs any specified quality assurance checks designated for each job, function or assignment
• Pack, seal, and label finished product for shipment
• Report any quality issues, shortages, damages, etc. to Supervisor
• Transport orders from production areas to the packing area
• Ensure that items are packed in a safe manner by using required packing materials
• Ensure that all accompanying documentation is present with the packed items
• Complete daily logs; record data for reporting, accounting, and record keeping purposes
• Coordinate with Supervisor regarding day to day activities
• Displays appropriate work ethics in the workplace and group settings which provides a positive influence on all associates
• Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned work sites
• Assist machine operators, assemblers and other workers
• Operate small hand tools/small power tools

WORK CONDITIONS

• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Requires standing, kneeling, crouching, bending, lifting, pulling, etc.
• Manufacturing environment
• Must provide own CSA safety footwear
• Must wear required and additional PPE as required

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Prior knowledge of packing, shipping and logistics welcomed but not necessary
• Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment an asset
• High school education or equivalent
• Ability to perform basic mathematical skills
• Reading and writing comprehension above average

• Ability to meet daily goals and timeliness with minimal supervision
• Use of sound judgement and decision making skills
• Effective communication and written skills — clear, concise and positive
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

• Ability to multi-task while maintaining organization and efficiency is critical
• A detail-oriented individual who is focused and can help all processes run smoothly
