London Waldorf School is seeking applicants for the position of Director of Administration and Finance, beginning in the 2022-2023 school year.

Working closely with all leadership groups, the Director of Administration and Finance advances the mission of the school. Through oversight of immediate operational and long-term strategic work, the Director of Admissions and Finance links the School’s strategic plan with fiscal and operational realities to ensure sustainable institutional growth and development while minimizing risk. The Director of Administration and Finance will oversee all administrative functions, manage the administrative team and report to the Board of Trustees.  

 

This position is a full time permanent salaried position. The anticipated start date is November 1st, 2022.
The salary range for this position is $43,854.49 to $45,942.80. Our salaries and benefits are comparable with those of other Waldorf Schools, including: 3% pension plan contributions, and tuition remission after 3 months of employment. Group health and dental benefits, including a long-term disability plan, are available on a cost-sharing basis.

 

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

Education:

  • University Degree in Business, Administration (or equivalent/related field)

  • Enrollment in, or completion of, CIM, CPA and/or CHRL designation preferred

 

Experience:

  • 5 years management experience (including financial and administrative accountabilities)

  • 5 years supervisory experience (leading teams and leadership)

  • Experience in strategic planning, implementation and operationalization

  • Experience in a academic/educational environment an asset

  • Experience with Waldorf education an asset

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop a shared vision to lead and coach employees to excellence

  • Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with other school leaders and groups, key business partners and external agencies

  • Critical thinking and discernment to assess and scope areas for improvement and an ability to offer creative solutions

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and confidence dealing with all levels of an organization

  • Ability to establish effective methods for excellent communication with all members of the team to maximize productivity

  • Ability to understand parent/family needs and expectations and provide excellent service directly and indirectly to satisfy expectations

  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving ability with a solid understanding of key financial principles and the ability to effectively develop sound financial plans

  • Advanced planning and organizational skills with a proven ability to build and manage a financial and business plan

  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, facilitation and conflict resolution skills

  • Ability to handle diverse situations, multiple projects, and rapidly changing priorities

  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office
