Job Description

Position Summary
The Quality Manager coordinates and directs the quality program to ensure the continuous production of products that comply with the organization’s established standards. Furthermore, the incumbent will support the quality objectives for the company by assisting in the establishment of specifications and standards.
Position Responsibilities
Quality Issues “Internal and External Follow-up”
- Work with developing suppliers
- Support quality specialists with customers issues
- Working with supervisors on various issues regarding person/disciplinary issues
- Coordinating with other departments to investigate supplier or customer issues
- TS 16949 internal/external CAR management
Quality Reports or Projects
- Generate, update and issue quality assurance reports to Japan
- Generate and maintain departmental budget
- Create and maintain departmental business plan
- PV system management
- Manage and create PPM (parts per million) negotiation paperwork
- Manage, create and update MAX K report to executive management team
- Update “perfect line” report
- Update, manage Lexus “level – up” report
Documentation Review and Supervision
- Oversee and manage supplier corrective action requests (SCAR)
- Management and administration of employee vacation and leave of absence requests
- New product change documentation management
- Monitor, oversee and review all 1P1K, and MaxK submissions from all team members
- Attend to employee concerns and reviewing worker performance
Essential Skills and Experience
- More than 7 years and up to 10 years of practical experience working in a supervisory/ management role
- Up to 5 years previous experience in the automotive manufacturing industry
- Requires a general university degree (e.g. General B.A.) or equivalent OR Community College diploma plus a semi-professional designation/certification (CQE or CMQ)
