Position: Child Care Custodian

Licensed Child Care - Lucan, Ontario

Start Date: As Soon As Possible

Qualifications & Experience:
• Experience in commercial cleaning environment.
• WHMIS trained (can be provided if not in place).
• Experience with the safe and proper use and storage of cleaning supplies.
• Clean criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening.
• It is a YMCA of Southwestern Ontario requirement that all employees and volunteers be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Exemptions will be granted upon receipt of acceptable proof of a permissible Human Rights Code ground. This requirement has been suspended effective June 30, 2022. It may be reinstated in future should the state of public health in our communities require it.
Compensation/Benefits:
• $16.55 per hour
• A YMCA personal membership at our health and fitness branches
• A discount on our Childcare and Camp programs
• Vacation entitlement in accordance with the employment standards regulations
Schedule:
• Monday through Friday
• Evenings shifts - approx. 5:00pm – 8:00pm
• up to 15 hours per week
Responsibilities:
• YMCA of Southwestern Ontario policy and procedures
• Act as a YMCA ambassador, demonstrating YMCA core values in your daily work
• Cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility. (Classrooms, kitchen, staff room, office, hallways, bathrooms)
• Regular removal of garbage and recycling
• Working with the team in a positive and enthusiastic manner, to ensure member safety and satisfaction
• Commitment to serving all members
• Demonstrating a commitment to YMCA Mission, Vision and Values
• Ensuring centre is locked and alarm activated upon leaving
