Hanwha L&C Canada is currently seeking an experienced Development Technician to join our team. Hanwha L&C Canada is the proud manufacturer of luxurious HanStone® Quartz countertops. Hanwha L&C Canada’s innovative product combines natural quartz, one of nature’s hardest materials, with high-quality polymer resin and pigment to produce a durable yet luxurious stone surface, delivering perfection around the world.
The Development Technician will be responsible for working with the Development Team to create new formulations and product improvements for future growth along with assisting in the resolution of quality and production issues.

The Development Technician will be responsible for working with the Development Team to create new formulations and product improvements for future growth along with assisting in the resolution of quality and production issues.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assist in the development of new products which includes formulations, preparation of lab samples and conducting production trials
- Conduct inspection and testing on raw materials using physical, chemical and spectrophotometer testing methods.
- Maintain all records as it pertains to development and production activities.
- Work with the Process Team and provide technical support to production.
- All other duties as required
- Chemical Technology diploma or equivalent
- 1 – 3 years experience in a lab or manufacturing environment
- Must possess the following traits and characteristics: effective communicator, solid organizational skills, good time management and administrative skills.
- Demonstrated problem solving and priority management skills.
- Ability to organize and execute directions in a production environment.
- Ability to adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Willingness to work in a 24/7 continental shift operation environment
