Job Title:                      Supply Chain Analyst
 Location:                      London (Store Support Centre)
 Reports to:                   Process Improvement Manager, Senior Manager of Inventory & Analytics
 
Purpose:                     
 
The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for a full range of activities which ensure operational effectiveness and excellence of the business unit with the main focus to support Distribution Centre Managers decision making and Warehouse supervisors and staffs productivity.  TSC’s Supply Chain group is responsible for the distribution and replenishment of approximately 35,000 SKU’s for 50 different store locations.  The Analyst will provide reporting on Labour, transportation and space costs in alignment with the P&L for the Supply Chain department.  As well the analyst will be a key resource in cross functional process improvement teams to reduce costs and improve service on supply chain activities.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and distinguish user requests from the underlying needs.
  • Review and develop reporting on Supply chain costs.Tabulate and compose daily, weekly, and monthly reporting for Supply chain management team.
  • Develop reports, tools, and models from the AS400 database management system and SQL Server utilizing VBA (Visual Basic Applications) programming language, and SQL query.
  • Manage and maintain SQL database tools to ensure appropriate data are available.
  • Troubleshoot error code on current tools and report to ensure correct reporting and status of SKU’s, orders or costs in different aspects of the supply chain, including ordering, inbound freight, distribution center space and labor costs, and lastly transportation to the stores.
  • Utilize your experience in using enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies.
  • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Works in teams through process improvement methodologies (Lean) and helps to establish and improve the reporting requirements for a tiered level management system and in any inter-business unit projects.
  • Prioritizes workload to accommodate daily rushes and specialty requests
  • Ability to work independently; estimate time required to complete projects; follow up on assignments, and keep appropriate team members up to date and aware of progress
  • Acts as a positive change agent in supporting TSC Stores new initiatives (operational and cultural) and promotes a positive work environment for all associates
  • Provides technical expertise to other analyst through training and mentoring
  • Develop and Publish process documentation
  • Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.
     
    Qualifications:
     
  • Business or Computer Science Diploma/Degree equivalent of education and experience
  • Fluent in Microsoft Excel VBA and SQL query programming
  • Familiar with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
  • Knowledge in ASP or PHP web programming language is a definite plus
  • Good to excellent Excel and spreadsheet knowledge
  • Prioritization, time management and multi tasking are essential to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of tiered management systems and process improvement (lean) methodologies
  • Ability to work in multiple projects with multiple teams
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Strong sense of urgency & the ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment
