is recruiting a Project Engineer for our client Dr. Oetker - London
Your Future:
- You plan, steer and oversee equipment and building related projects from beginning to end
- You continuously review all technical aspects of the processing departments, warehouse and building utility areas with a view to ensure they are readily available, improving efficiencies, asset utilization and reducing costs
- You are responsible for planning and technical realization of machinery and manufacturing methods
- You improve processes to increase efficiency and quality
- You manage projects independently, beginning with on-site evaluations; preparing planning documents and profitability calculations and finally generating layouts
- You are responsible for soliciting bids, conducting negotiations and causing the acceptance of a bid
- You prepare, implement and evaluate tests of systems and equipment
- You plan, prepare and verify schedules to ensure projects are completed (follow up and correct deviations) and prepare project reports
- As a vital part of the EMS team, you implement and maintain the EMS as per legal regulations, Dr. Oetker requirements and ISO 14001 standards, reporting these to the Plant Manager
- You liaise with engineering teams in other Dr. Oetker facilities and Technical Services
- You prepare technical specifications, requests for quotations. Evaluate tenders or quotations and propose suppliers. Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions to contractual agreements
- You oversee delivery, installation, dry and wet commissioning and timing of projects and document the process and outcome
- You keep the plant layout updated, using AutoCAD, technical files
- You work with other Project Engineer(s) and support other departments as required
- You have a valid Passport as you will be required to travel to other Dr. Oetker facilities worldwide
Your Strengths:
- You obtained a University degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or technical degree equivalent
- You have 5 years project management work experience in food manufacturing
- You have knowledge of applicable federal, provincial and local building codes and safety laws
- You are proficient in Word, Excel, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, etc.
- You have team project work experience
- You have the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, and effectively present information to a variety of audiences
- You interpret documents like charts, blueprints, etc.
- You manage priorities and order tasks efficiently
- You have analytical problem solving skills including financial concerns
- You communicate clearly and effectively; follow directions; mediate disputes
- You have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and to draw valid conclusions
