Job Description

On behalf of our client in London, Ontario, we are currently seeking a full-time Bookkeeper/Office Manager on an evaluation basis. The ideal candidate would have excellent customer service skills and experience with bookkeeping and office management.

Duties (may include and not limited too)
  • Reception; receive and direct incoming calls
  • Maintain appointment schedule for management; set appointment, reminder calls, schedule follow up appointments
  • Job costing with invoices and payroll to identify shortfalls
  • Update revenue tracking, flagging accounts as required
  • Track change orders from POs, invoices, payroll and charge order sheet
  • Keep book of accounts for 3 companies including monthly income statements, annual balance sheets and income statements
  • Calculate and remit WSIB & HST
  • Reconcile deferred revenue and credit cards
  • Update payables and receivables, create and send out invoices
  • Track WIP and inventory
  • Prepare year end package for accounts, T2010s, T4s, T5s, EHT and annual remittance reconciliations
  • Payroll and deductions for up to 25 employees, tracking overtime and absenteeism
  • Employee benefits administration
  • Other administrative and accounting duties as required
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 year College Diploma, with specialization in Accounting/Finance required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a bookkeeping/accounting or office management role with accounting/finance duties
  • Previous experience in the construction industry considered an asset
  • Experience with Simply Accounting required
  • Excellent computer skills and previous experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks  and meet deadlines within a fast paced environment
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
Hours: Monday-Friday; day time hours
Compensation: $18-22/hour
