Job Description

 Our client in St. Thomas, ON is currently seeking a Customer Service Receptionist on a contract basis.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Act as the initial point of contact for clients, assessing their needs and directing them to the appropriate department or resource
  • Process incoming documents, correspondence, reports and faxes from clients, external and interdepartmental mail
  • Receive and manage all incoming calls on multi-port telephone system, transferring calls to staff
  • Receive initial information from public and records information before forwarding to appropriate staff
  • Distribute cheques to clients as required and verify identification
  • Administer testing to clients, review documents and record results
  • Manage the filing of all closed/terminated general case files in central filing system
  • Monitor and maintain supplies for reception area
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year of post-secondary education, Specialization in Business related subjects preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience in a related position
  • Must have working knowledge with Microsoft Office
  • Must demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with clients, the general public and staff
  • Demonstrated experience in a fast paced customer service environment required
Hours:  Monday to Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Compensation: $14.00/hour
