Salary Range $87,623 to $99,571 commensurate with experience


The London District Catholic School Board invites qualified Purchasing Professionals to apply for this exciting opportunity. Reporting to the Executive Manager – Business Services, the primary function of this position is to be responsible for day-to-day operation, supervision, and support of the Purchasing Department. The Supervisor will implement and manage the purchasing functions for the acquisition of goods and services, including overseeing development of procurement strategies, management of multi-year contracts and reporting.  In addition, provide advice and educate a wide variety of stakeholders including trustees, suppliers, and board employees.

Qualifications and Skills required:
 
  • Active Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) designation or other professional purchasing designation, public sector experience would be an asset.
  • College or University education in related field such as Supply Chain, Business Administration, Accounting.
  • Five years working experience related to school board or other public sector organization.
  • Comprehensive understanding of contract law, licensing requirements, insurance and bonding needs related to contract and competitive bidding.
  • Responsible for overseeing sourcing and procurement of goods and services and construction projects utilizing appropriate procurement methods with a clear understanding of Procurement Legislation and Trade Agreements. Ensuring a fair, equitable and transparent bid process adhering to the Ontario Broader Public Sector Supply Chain Code of Ethics.
  • Excellent communication & supervisory skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with all staff and vendors.
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills with ability to manipulate data from multiple data sources.
  • Continued commitment to training in best practices in Public Procurement
