Pay Details:  $33.05 per hour

Note:  This is a full-time temporary position until January 20, 2023 (35 hours per week).

Duties:  Under the direction of the Associate Registrar, the incumbent co-ordinates and assists the team to achieve departmental and Ministry-directed Financial Assistance program deadlines. Provides customer service to students, parents, agencies, departments and divisions for application and ongoing administration of OSAP and Ministry-directed Financial Assistance programs. Provides advice and assistance to staff on complex OSAP matters. Assists the manager with development of various forms, communication and marketing of Financial Assistance programs. In collaboration with the Bursary & Outreach Coordinator, performs and coordinates staff to perform outreach to internal and external stakeholders. Ensures ongoing training of Financial Aid staff related to changes and updates to OSAP/Ministry-directed program policies and procedures.


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Post-secondary 2-year diploma or equivalent in Business Administration, Office Administration, Finance, Accounting or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a high volume, multitask environment with direct customer service
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered; preference will be given to applicants meeting the education requirements
  • Experience working with, analyzing and interpreting OSAP policies and procedures
  • Systems experience with financial databases and government, or similar enterprise-wide systems Recent experience within a post secondary environment, coordinating the tasks and schedule of a work team, public speaking, presentation development, and the ability to interact with diverse groups and high-risk clients
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
