ABOUT VERESEN
Veresen is a publicly-traded dividend paying corporation based in Calgary, Alberta that owns and operates energy infrastructure assets across North America. Veresen is engaged in three principal businesses: a pipeline transportation business comprised of interests in the Alliance Pipeline, the Ruby Pipeline and the Alberta Ethane Gathering System; a midstream business which includes a partnership interest in Veresen Midstream Limited Partnership which owns midstream assets in western Canada and an ownership interest in Aux Sable, a world-class natural gas liquids (NGL) extraction facility near Chicago and other natural gas and NGL processing energy infrastructure; and a power business comprised of a portfolio of assets in Canada. Veresen is also developing Jordan Cove LNG, a six million tonne per annum natural gas liquefaction facility proposed to be constructed in Coos Bay, Oregon, and the Pacific Connector Gas Pipeline. In the normal course of business, Veresen regularly evaluates and pursues acquisition and development opportunities.
THE FACILITY
London District Energy is a District Energy and Combined Heat and Power facility located in downtown London, Ontario. It supplies heating, cooling and energy supply options and services to businesses and institutions at the community level. London’s district energy systems offer a cost-competitive, cleaner and greener alternative to heating and cooling buildings currently using in-house boilers and chillers. It also supplies electricity to London’s downtown with an 18MW CHP Unit.
THE POSITION
The Data Collection Summer Student will support a project team with gathering and preparing equipment data and tagging equipment as required for the implementation of new Computerized Maintenance Management Software system, SAP Plant Maintenance. Guidance will be provided by both London District Energy leaders and the Project Architect.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Due to the high energy state of equipment in the facility, this position is deemed a safety sensitive position. A pre-placement job-related medical exam is conducted for all safety sensitive positions.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Travel to client sites may be required. This is a position with a 40 hour / week work schedule Monday – Friday.

This position is located on site at the Plant in London, Ontario.

- Physically locate equipment / assets within the plant environment
- Collect equipment/ asset data in source documents
- Populate equipment master data spreadsheets
- Review equipment manuals and create maintenance task lists
- Take photos of equipment & create “shared drive” c/w version/revision control
- Tagging equipment
- Ad-hoc requests as assigned
- Enrollment in a post-secondary institution or trade school is preferable
- Experience within industrial facilities/environments would be beneficial, preferably with 1+ years’ experience; electric power plant maintenance experience is beneficial
- Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems
- Technical experience of operating industrial plant systems and structures
- Intermediate Microsoft Office processing skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Share Point)
- Physically able to work in industrial environments
- Ability to work extended hours if and when required
- Holds a valid driver’s license
