Human Resources Generalist (#279620)

Our client located east of  London is in search of a HR Generalist to join their team on contract basis for one year. 

Main aim of job:
-Maintain positive morale within the plant and office
-Benefits administration
-Recruitment of hourly and salaried personnel

Specific duties and responsibilities:
-WSIB claims management
-Manage and administer STD and LTD Disability Claims
-Administration of Employee Benefits
-Manage and resolve employee relation issues; assisting in employment claims by conducting internal investigations, reviewing facts, interviewing witnesses and reporting the findings.
-Develop and carry out coaching and training strategies to ensure open Door communications are maintained
-Listen to, respond to, or direct Team Members with queries and concerns
Scope of authority:
-Manage the attendance system/ Performance Management
-Support the Supervisors in regards to policies/procedures, disciplines and coaching Team Members
-Reviewing, revising and implementing new and existing HR policies and procedures through the application of best practices, streamlining processes to maximize efficiencies to keep up with and support business growth.
-Implement change in any/all HR functions
-Responsible for Supervisor training and development sessions


Professional Human Resources designation preferred

Professional experience (years, function)
Minimum 2 years in a H.R. Specialist role preferably in a Manufacturing Environment
