Job Description

Drake International is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join our clients site. This is a contract role expected to last between 3-6 months. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication and problem solving skills as you will be a key part of the customer experience. 


This role will be a mixture of both working in office & remotely. 

Essential Job Functions:


  • Responsible for leading resolution/problem solving to External Customer Complaints (CC´s), ensuring standard work has been followed, root causes are clearly defined, communicated and corrective actions are implemented and sustained
  • Review complaints, track and closure
  • Complete all required Quality Assurance tasks to onboard new suppliers
  • Conduct internal audits including audit reports and managing audit non-conformances as per ISO9001:2015 requirements
  • Hands on responsibility for the execution of an effective Quality Management System with focus on compliance with ISO9001:2015
  • Effectively lead resolution/problem solving to Internal Non-Conformances (NC´s), ensuring standard work has been followed, root causes are clearly defined, communicated and corrective actions are implemented and sustained
  • Applies critical decision-making skills toward assessing customer complaints and resolution
  • Applies sound systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues through interactions with project teams and product investigation. 
  • Drives corrective actions to suppliers through the supplier corrective action report process.
  • Release and maintain records in the QMS with strict adherence to Good Documentation Practices. 
  • Performs a broad variety of tasks in support of quality
  • Represent Quality in cross-department meetings, as needed
  • Capable of leading Problem-Solving Process (PSP) to drive process improvement


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Minimum 3-4 years of relevant work experience. Must be proficient in English, verbal and written.
  • Understanding of the relevant regulations (e.g. ISO9001:2015), standards and operating procedures
  • Good knowledge of sampling inspection standards and criteria
  • In-depth knowledge of engineering fundamentals and read engineering drawings 
  • Certified QMS auditor will be an advantage
  • Demonstrate proficient level of computer skills, especially Excel (data analysis)
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate and work interdepartmentally.
  • Ability to accomplish goals and work with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated understanding or aptitude to understand continuous quality/process improvement tools (5S, SPC, DMIAC, root cause analysis tools, etc.).
  • Maintains a positive attitude, is self-motivated, and works well independently and as part of a team.
