We are expanding our business and are currently accepting applications to join our London branch as a Supervisor, Bookkeeping and Payroll Services.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Director of Value Added Services, the Supervisor of Bookkeeping and Payroll Services is accountable for managing and building our bookkeeping and payroll services business line. This will be accomplished by ensuring that we are delivering quality products and services and by developing and maintaining an effective team. Success in this role is measured by client retention and growth. This supervisory role combines accounting, bookkeeping and payroll knowledge with service excellence and key account management for an exciting and rewarding career.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As our successful candidate, you will:
  • Maintain and enforce quality standards by developing best practices
  • Source and select quality bookkeeping and payroll staff to build a strong team
  • Maximize the effectiveness of the team through training and development, performance management and account assignment
  • Monitor and assess product and service quality, making adjustments as required
  • Onboard and retain new customers
  • Deliver exceptional service and products
  • Deliver on the business line P&L through revenue collections and team effectiveness
  • Manage bookkeeping and payroll systems to ensure that they are state of the art and that they support the delivery of quality products and services
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or associated fields (equivalent work experience will be considered)
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience, preferably in Customer Service
  • Accounting/bookkeeping/payroll experience
  • A successful track record of managing and leading a geographically distributed customer service team
Success in this role also requires
  • Technical and practical skills in accounting or bookkeeping
  • Effective communication skills: written, verbal, and presentations
  • A demonstrated ability for problem-solving and conflict resolution
  • The ability to consistently provide proactive communication and to develop trust with Members and key business partners
  • Knowledge of payroll / bookkeeping systems and preparation
  • The ability to motivate and develop a high performing and remotely managed team
