Job Description

Adecco, on behalf of our client, is recruiting for Full Time Permanent Midnight & Full Time Temporary Afternoon Maintenancel Technicians.

Applicants must be self-starters and able to work with minimal supervision, and be willing to work overtime.  Applicants must also be safety conscious and always practice safe work habits. 

Shifts for the
Maintenance Technician:
Midnight Shift: 10 :30 pm – 7 :00 am  Permanent
Afternoon Shift: 2:30pm-11pm Temporary
There will be times throughout the year when rotating between all shifts will be necessary.  There will be many times during the year when overtime and weekend work are required. 


Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
  • Assist current maintenance department with preventative and repair maintenance
  • Complete electrical and mechanical emergency repairs and general maintenance
  • Perform electrical installations from time to time
  • Assist with production line start-ups
  • Perform packaging line repairs as required
  • Perform certain building maintenance including HVAC
  • Follow the Standard Operation Procedures
  • Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Follow guidelines established by company and O.H.S.A. to ensure safe operation of the machinery
  • Follow all guidelines established by applicable codes and legislation as it pertains to this position
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
  • Licensed Industrial Millwright or Electrician; preference will be given to dual license
  • Electrical competence: Must be able to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot machine controls including AC drives (Indramat/Elau/Flexdrives, etc.).
  • PLC troubleshooting knowledge: Must be able to read ladder logics, upload and download programs and do online troubleshooting
  • Mechanical competence: Must be able to read mechanical schematics to identify parts, troubleshoot machine mechanical problems; disassemble and reassemble machines
  • Computer literate: Need to use CMMS (MP2) and email
  • Exposure to high speed packaging in a food environment
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
