THE OPPORTUNITY
 
As Human Resources Generalist you will hold a variety-filled position and be an integral part of recruitment and hiring.  You will also be responsible for claim management activities related to STD, LTD, WSIB claims and returns to work.  In this role, you will undertake responsibilities tied to compensation, training, health and safety,  and performance management.  Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, you will provide a broad range of day-to-day HR support to the Company and its employees, while participating in projects and the delivery of HR Programs.  The position requires that you comfortably and professionally liaise with all personnel regarding our policies, procedures, and that you maintain documentation related to the same.
 
The Human Resources Generalist at Trudell Medical Marketing Limited works with the Director of Human Resources to ensure that responsive service and the support required for proactive organizational development is realized throughout TMML. 
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Education & Experience
  • Post-secondary education and completion of CHRP designation, or equivalent in experience. 
  • At least five (5) years of progressive Human Resources experience working as a Generalist.   Experience in recruitment, claims management and HR Administration is required. 
  • A track record of success in Recruitment. 
  • Familiarity with employment legislation such as the Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health & Safety Act, Privacy Act, Human Rights Code, and a desire to learn more.  Familiarity with other provincial legislation is ideal, but not required. 
  • Computer literacy; demonstrated proficiency in Word and Excel.  
  • Experience with a HRIS is ideal.

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, effective listening, explanation, interpretation and liaison skills.  Ability to speak, read, and write in French is an asset. 
  • Ability to remain objective and exercise sound judgement.  
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, address multiple needs and prioritize. 
  • Strong team player and an ability to work independently. 
  • Organized with the ability to created structure. 
  • Detail oriented. 
  • Conscientious, customer service-oriented, professional and positive demeanor. 
  • Proven ability to maintain, in strictest confidence, confidential information or opinions. 
  • Ability to interact well with a variety of staff at all levels and establish a respectful, trustworthy rapport.
