Job Description

On behalf of our client in London, Ontario, we are currently recruiting for a part-time Payroll & Benefits Administrator on an ongoing contract basis. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Ceridian and hold a PCP designation.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Payroll administration for all employees, including pay schedules, payroll deductions, setting up employees, changes/queries and removal of employees
  • Facilitate new employee orientation regarding payroll and benefits
  • Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies and inconsistencies in policies
  • Respond to employees’ payroll and/or benefit questions and concerns
  • Communicate with external providers, such as ADP/Ceridian and Benefit providers
  • T4 Administration
  • Group RSPs Administration
  • EEAP Program Queries
  • Benefits administration; including set up of new hires, terminations, medical and dental claims, short term and long term disability, out of Province insurance coverage
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in accounting or other related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of Payroll and Benefits Administration experience required
  • Experience with Ceridian is required
  • PCP designation considered an asset, but not required
  • Strong understanding of Employee Payroll, Pay Schedules, Payroll Deductions process, Legal Requirements and Standards
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Exceptional multi-tasking, attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to problem solve and learn quickly in a fast paced environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to work independently
  • Hardworking, self-motivated and passionate about learning
Hours
  • Part-time: 25-30 hours per week, Day time hours
Compensation 
  •  $18-20.00 per hour, based on candidate experience
