Post Production Technicians required
 
The Post Production Technician is required to correct color balance, set shadows, and clean up images at the professional photographic level within the digital /web environment. They possess digital illustration skills, creative problem solving skills, and an acute eye for color, tonal levels, and graphic composition. Working knowledge of photograph and studio lighting is beneficial. Strong Adobe Photoshop skills are imperative.
 
Core Job Duties and Responsibilities:
 
•Remove distracting elements and provide cosmetic enhancements using Photoshop software
•Format, archive and organize all photography files for all auto manufacturers (year, make, model) to be distributed to designers, printers, and customers
•Work with photographers and Team Lead to help facilitate daily workflow in the post production area
•Gather and format images for web archive/database
•Collaborate with photographers and designers on jobs from beginning to end
•Format and prepare image files specific to customer requests and print needs
•Maintain color management and imaging standards to ensure high quality production of images on web or in print
•Ensure media image database is correct and current at all times (on avg. 300 – 400 new models per year that change)
•Track JIRA (internal request system) tickets
•Create paint charts for internal use
•Research/source information for interior colours of specific vehicles
 
Education, Experience and Competencies:
 
•Post-secondary education in Graphics Design, Arts and/or Media an asset
•Min. 2 years’ experience with image manipulation, color management and color theory in a post-production environment
•Excellent proficiency in Adobe PhotoShop and Adobe Illustrator and color correction software
•Possess a keen eye for composition and digital retouching capabilities
•Good communication skills
•Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously
•Exceptionally self-motivated, directed, and detail-oriented
•Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
•On-call availability and periodic overtime
•Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
•Conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
