Emco’s Information Technology department, located at its National Support Centre in London, Ontario, is looking for a multi-faceted Manager of New Technology who will plan, execute and provide training in the use of new and emerging technology, and other technology where appropriate.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proven ability to listen and solve business problems using technologies
  • University or College Degree, or equivalent
  • 10+ years’ experience in Information Technology
  • 7+ years of hands-on technical knowledge of digital environment including mobile, web apps, APIs, Messaging, Databases, Big Data and their interaction/integration with large ERP systems
  • 5+ years of relevant management experience with people management responsibilities
  • Ability to positively coach people through change
  • Forward thinking and opportunity oriented with experience in delivering great customer experiences and a solid understanding of what made those customer experiences great
  • Hands-on experience in Agile, SCRUM, SDLC, PMP/PMI methodologies
  • A deep understanding of software development in a team, and a track record of shipping software on time
  • Skills in change management, planning, organizing, problem solving and training
  • Enthusiasm for preparing and conducting training sessions, and training material.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Conscientious and independent coupled with a strong commitment to collaboration and team work
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • English & French, written and spoken, would be an asset
