Job Description

The Thames Valley DSB is the host board for the South Region, which consists of the following ten boards: Avon Maitland DSB, Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic DSB, Grand Erie DSB, Greater Essex County DSB, Huron-Perth Catholic DSB, Lambton Kent DSB, London District Catholic SB, St. Clair Catholic DSB, Thames Valley DSB, and the Windsor-Essex Catholic DSB. These positions have been created in the Thames Valley District School Board to enable the South region to establish an internal audit function for the ten district school boards within the region.
 
POSITION TITLE:         Regional Internal Auditor (2 positions)
 
DATE OF VACANCY:    As soon as possible
 
SALARY RANGE:         $58,048 - $76,767         
 
HIRING RANGE:           $58,048 - $74,092
 
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Regional Internal Auditor plans, executes and reports on risk-based internal audits of varying complexity for multiple school boards within the region. The incumbent liases with senior school board officials, audit committee members, external auditors, Ministry of Education representatives and various other stakeholders. The position requires extensive travel within the region.
                                                                                                                       
QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of a four (4) year degree in accounting, finance or business administration, ideally with the completion of an accounting designation (CA, CGA, CMA), Certified Internal Auditor (C(A), a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designation or equivalent, and a minimum of one (1) year related work experience planning and performing audits is required.
