Our client North of London is offering an exciting opportunity to join their team, this person would report to the Quality Manager and working closely with the all teams across the company. Our client is manufacturing automotive parts, and is currently exceeding their production capacity; we’re looking for the next team player to join them to support this amazing growth!

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement APQP framework for new products, PFMEA, control plans
- Liaise with different teams such as Project Management, Product Engineering, CI, Tooling Design, Quality, Process Engineering, Materials, Purchasing, and Production to successfully launch new samples and products within plant constrains
- Modelling of process to ensure tools build the part as designed.
- Determine productivity standards, identify areas for improvement and work with other departments in order to resolve problems regarding existing parts and potentially new parts in advance
- Monitor and report machinery or process problems to relevant teams for corrective action
- Leads or participates in cross-functional teams within the facility
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Process Engineering or College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related education
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in Process Engineering, Quality, APQP, Sample and Product Development.
- Automotive manufacturing background
- Computer skills such as; Excel, Access, Power Point, Minitab
- Knowledge of Metrology, SPC, APQP, MSA, Auditing, AIAG standards, IATF 16949, ISO 14001
- Must be able to travel to customers, suppliers, and sister plants within North America.
- Excellent interpersonal/analytical skills
