Overview
DMARehability is an industry leader in the provision of rehabilitation and disability management services. We have spent more than 19 years on the leading edge of injury and claims management. We currently have an exciting full time opportunity for an Accounting Manager.
 
Reporting to the ownership group, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for the full accounting cycle, ensuring application of sound accounting principles and practices.
 
Responsibilities      
  • Full cycle accounting for multiple companies
  • Bank reconciliations and daily monitoring of banking activities
  • Liaise with banking representatives, external auditors, government auditors and agencies, franchisees, and corporate stores
  • Month end / year end reporting to a public company (with production of financial statements) and addressing all their queries
  • Additional monthly reporting to the bank (covenant compliance), WesternOne (funds reimbursement), and other regular reporting to external entities
  • GL account analysis and reconciliation
  • Manage up to 6 people
  • Oversee employees whose responsibilities include payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and billing departments
  • Provide back up for payroll
  • Familiarity with government filings i.e. HST/WSIB
  • Manage recording of sales for corporate stores and monthly reconciliation of transactions and activities
  • Monthly and weekly invoicing 
  • Additional duties as requested from ownership group
 
Requirements
  • Minimum Level 3 CGA, CMA or equivalent
  • 5 – 7 years’ experience in the management of full cycle accounting
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Intermediate excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Knowledge of Sage ACCPAC
