We looking to add a dynamic results oriented communicator to join our team in the following capacity:
 
Role:                            Production Supervisor
 
Type of Position:          Contract 
 
Key Areas of Responsibility:
 
This role is responsible for the day to day activities of our seasonal team members including the following:
 
People Management

• Manage daily team member work assignments and attendance;
• Coach and train to promote safe and effective work practices.

Communication

• Relay operational instructions and information to team members;
• Act as a liaison with quality control, maintenance and engineering;
• Participate in daily transition meetings, health and safety talks and training sessions as required.

 Operations

• Responsible to achieve operational effectiveness in the areas of recovery, budgets, labour and department performance.

 
Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of two years supervisory experience in manufacturing with preference given to those with experience in the food industry.
• Must have a strong working knowledge of the OHSA.
• Must have strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Must have a solid working knowledge of manufacturing and processing inventory systems.
• Must have the demonstrated ability to lead by example and motivate our team members to excel.
• Must have the ability to analyze and solve problems for continuous process improvements.
• Must have the ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of Word, Excel and Power Point.
• Must have the ability to work a continental shift with a combination of days and nights.
