Maintenance Manager
Our client south-west of London is looking for a Maintenance Manager for their Production facility, offering a competitive salary and benefit package. Maintenance Manager Responsibilities:
Responsible for the planning and control of technical work, preventative maintenance projects and equipment reliability including but not limited to:
- Direct management of 8 staff in the maintenance department
- Organize continuous improvement projects to improve efficiencies, maintaining the budget for technical department including projects and purchasing all maintenance equipment and parts.
- Maintain spare parts inventory accuracy and budget for departmental projects
- Coordinate work schedules to correspond with production priorities and to improve the throughput of the equipment while maintaining good quality of the products
- Schedules repairs, maintenance and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations
- Accountable for permits, licenses and all environmental requirements for provincial and federal
- Coordinate and schedule outside contract work for the plant while monitoring validity of contractor safety clearance certificates for WSIB
- Safety conscious in all areas; exceeding the requirements for food and employee safety
Maintenance Manager Qualifications:
- University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related education
- 5+ Years’ experience working with specialized electrical / mechanical / electromechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum 5 years’ experience supervising teams and project management
- Proven process improvements and continuous improvement examples implemented
- Knowledge of budgets and financial statements
- Proficiency with Microsoft computer programs
- Leadership, organizational skills, creativity, teamwork
- SAP Inventory experience an asset
