Maintenance Manager

Our client south-west of London is looking for a Maintenance Manager for their Production facility, offering a competitive salary and benefit package. Maintenance Manager Responsibilities:

Responsible for the planning and control of technical work, preventative maintenance projects and equipment reliability including but not limited to:

• Direct management of 8 staff in the maintenance department
• Organize continuous improvement projects to improve efficiencies, maintaining the budget for technical department including projects and purchasing all maintenance equipment and parts.
• Maintain spare parts inventory accuracy and budget for departmental projects
• Coordinate work schedules to correspond with production priorities and to improve the throughput of the equipment while maintaining good quality of the products
• Schedules repairs, maintenance and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations
• Accountable for permits, licenses and all environmental requirements for provincial and federal
• Coordinate and schedule outside contract work for the plant while monitoring validity of contractor safety clearance certificates for WSIB
• Safety conscious in all areas; exceeding the requirements for food and employee safety

Maintenance Manager Qualifications:

• University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related education
• 5+ Years’ experience working with specialized electrical / mechanical / electromechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment
• Minimum 5 years’ experience supervising teams and project management
• Proven process improvements and continuous improvement examples implemented
• Knowledge of budgets and financial statements
• Proficiency with Microsoft computer programs
• Leadership, organizational skills, creativity, teamwork
• SAP Inventory experience an asset
